Complete this entry form to participate in the 19th Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program for Ventura County employees and their family members.​  There is no fee to enter the program.


  • Participants must be an employee, retiree or immediate family member of an employee or retiree of the County of Ventura.
  • Only 2 entries per artist will be admitted.
  • All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant completed within the last three years.
  • The National Arts Program and and the Ventura County Arts Council reserve the right to disqualify entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit.

  • Amateur – a person with little or no experience
  • Intermediate – a person with some experience, begining art students, etc
  • Professional – a person with serious art training or employed in an art-related job

Artwork will be judged in the classification of the artist’s selection; however, in some cases, the exhibition judges will make the final determination.
Preparing Entries
  • Submit only entries which fit into the listed medium categories.
  • All artwork will need a NAP identification label placed on the back (provided at drop off).
  • All 2-dimensional entries should be matted, framed and/or ready to hang with wire securely on the back.
  • All work must measure no more than 48” in any direction or weigh more than 50lbs unless otherwise stipulated.
  • Artwork that does not meet size limitations or specifications will be disqualified before judging.

Rules of Exhibit

  • Deadline This Registration Form must be received no later than November 12, 2021.
  • Delivering Entries All entries must be delivered to the Atrium Gallery - Ventura County Government Center Hall of Administration, 800 S. Victoria Avenue on Tuesday, November 16 between 4pm - 7pm or Wednesday, November 17 between 7am - 10am.  
  • Reception & Awards A reception and presentation of awards will be held in the Atrium Gallery of the Ventura County Government Center on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 5:30pm - 7pm.
    • Prizes will be awarded by classification:
      • Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional): 3 - First Place Awards of $350; 3 - Second Place Awards of $250; and 3 - Third Place Awards of $150
      • Youth / Teen : 2 - First Place Awards of $150; 2- Second Place Awards of $100; and 2 - Third Place Awards of $50
      • A Best of Show Award of $400
      • An Art Education Award of $200
    • Honorable Mention Ribbons will be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
    • Awards are limited to one cash award per artist per classification.
  • Public Exhibit The exhibit is free and will be open to the public from November 19, 2021 - January 4, 2022.
  • Retrieving Entries Each artist is responsible for retrieving his/her artwork from the Atrium Gallery of the Ventura County Government Center on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 between 5pm - 7pm.  No work is to be removed prior to the end of the exhibition. Neither the Ventura County Arts Council, the Ventura County Government Center nor the National Arts Program will be responsible for unclaimed works.
  • Liability Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither the National Arts Program, the Ventura County Arts Council nor the Ventura County Government Center can be held responsible for damages, loss of art entries, or changes/cancellation of this exhibit due to low participation or unforeseen circumstances.  The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth.  The National Arts Program and the Ventura County Arts Council reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries.  The National Arts Program in Ventura County, CA is a public exhibit and photographing/filming of the exhibit is encouraged.
