Complete this entry form to participate in the 12th Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program for the University of Arizona employees and their family members.  This will be a fully virtual exhibit. There is an optional opportunity to display your art in-person as well. There is no fee to enter the program.

Eligibility

  • Participants must be an employee, retiree, volunteer or an immediate family member of an employee, retiree or volunteer of the University of Arizona.
  • Only 2 entries per artist will be admitted.
  • All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant completed within the last three years.
  • The National Arts Program and the University of Arizona reserve the right to disqualify entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit.

Your registration is not complete until you have clicked the ‘submit registration’ button, received an automated confirmation email and have submitted high resolution JPEG or PNG images of your artwork entries via email to:  oootartexhibit@arizona.edu   (Your email must have "NAP Entry" in the subject line, and include your attached image, artist name, artist category, and artwork title).

Adult
  • Amateur – a person with little or no experience
  • Intermediate – a person with some experience, beginning art students, etc

Artwork will be judged in the classification of the artist’s selection; however, in some cases, the exhibition judges will make the final determination.

Rules of Exhibit

  • Deadline This Registration Form must be received no later than Friday, January 21, 2022.
  • Delivering Entries In addition to your registration form, please submit high resolution JPEG or PNG images of your artwork entries by January 21, 2022  via email to:   oootartexhibit@arizona.edu   (Your email must have "NAP Entry" in the subject line, and include your attached image, artist name, artist category, and artwork title.) This exhibit is virtual and will be judged virtually as well.  In addition to the virtual showcase, for those who would like to display their artworks in-person (judging is ONLY online), they can drop off their artwork Friday, January 28th, 2022 between the hours of 11am-2pm at: University of Arizona BSRL Lobby, 1230 N. Cherry Ave, Tucson, AZ (Conference room at south end of BSRL lobby). Displaying your artwork in-person is completely optional.
  • Reception & Awards This year's exhibit and presentation of awards will be fully virtual. 
    • Prizes will be awarded by classification:
      • Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional): 3 - First Place Awards of $350; 3 - Second Place Awards of $250; and 3 - Third Place Awards of $150
      • A Best of Show Award of $400 
      • Youth / Teen : 2 - First Place Awards of $150; 2- Second Place Awards of $100; and 2 - Third Place Awards of $50
      • An Art Education Award of $200
    • Additional awards including Honorable Mentions will be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
    • Awards are limited to one cash award per artist per classification.
  • Public Exhibit The exhibit is fully virtual and will be made available for viewing from January 31 - February 12, 2022. In addition to the virtual showcase, there is an option to display your artwork in-person as well (please see delivering entries section for details).
  • Retrieving Entries Any artists that opted to display their artwork in-person are responsible for retrieving their artwork from the University of Arizona BSRL Lobby, 1230 N. Cherry Ave, Tucson AZ (Conference Room at south edn of BSRL Lobby) on February 14, 2022 between 11am - 2pm. No work is to be removed prior to the end of the exhibition. Neither the University of Arizona nor the National Arts Program will be responsible for unclaimed works.

  • Liability Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither the National Arts Program nor the University of Arizona can be held responsible for damages, loss of art entries, or changes/cancellation of this exhibit due to low participation or unforeseen circumstances.  The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth.  The National Arts Program and the University of Arizona reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries.  The National Arts Program at the University of Arizona is a public exhibit and photographing/filming of the exhibit is encouraged.
