Complete this entry form to participate in the 12th Annual Exhibit of the National Arts Program for the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, NV employees and their family members. There is no fee to enter the program.

Eligibility

  • Participants must be an employee/retiree/volunteer of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority, tenant/vendor of the Reno-Tahoe International Airport/Reno-Stead Airport, or an immediate family member.
  • Only 2 entries per artist will be admitted.
  • All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant completed within the last three years.
  • The National Arts Program and the Reno-Tahoe International Airport reserve the right to disqualify entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit.

Adult
  • Amateur – a person with little or no experience
  • Intermediate – a person with some experience, beginning art students, etc
  • Professional – a person with serious art training or employed in an art-related job

Artwork will be judged in the classification of the artist’s selection; however, in some cases, the exhibition judges will make the final determination.

Preparing Entries
  • Entrants may submit only two entries which fit into the listed medium categories.
  • All artwork will need an NAP identification label placed on the back (provided at drop off).
  • All 2-dimensional entries should be matted, framed and/or ready to hang with wire securely on the back.
  • All work must measure no more than 48” in any direction or weigh more than 50 pounds unless otherwise stipulated.
  • Artwork that does not meet size limitations or specifications will be disqualified before judging.

Rules of Exhibit

  • Deadline This Registration Form must be received no later than April 28 , 2021.
  • Delivering Entries All entries must be delivered to Reno-Tahoe International Airport River Room located in Baggage Claim near Door C on
    Friday, April 30th between 9:00am - 3:00pm.
  • Reception & Awards We have yet to determine when an awards announcement will take place. We are hoping to host an awards reception in July.  We will communicate with participants via email as soon as details are available.
    • Prizes will be awarded by classification:
      • Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional): 3 - First Place Awards of $350; 3 - Second Place Awards of $250; and 3 - Third Place Awards of $150
      • A Best of Show Award of $400
      • Youth / Teen : 2 - First Place Awards of $150; 2- Second Place Awards of $100; and 2 - Third Place Awards of $50
      • An Art Education Award of $200
    • Honorable Mention Ribbons will be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
    • Awards are limited to one cash award per artist per classification.
  • Public Exhibit The exhibit is free and will be open to the traveling public from May 7 - July 31, 2021.
  • Retrieving Entries Each artist is responsible for retrieving his/her artwork from Reno-Tahoe International Airport River Room located in Baggage Claim near Door C on Friday, August 6th between 9:00am - 3:00pm.  No work is to be removed prior to the end of the exhibition. Neither the Reno-Tahoe International Airport nor the National Arts Program will be responsible for unclaimed works.
  • Liability Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither the National Arts Program nor the Reno-Tahoe International Airport can be held responsible for damages, loss of art entries, or changes/cancellation of this exhibit due to low participation or unforeseen circumstances.  The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth.  The National Arts Program and the Reno-Tahoe International Airport reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries.  The National Arts Program at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, is a public exhibit and photographing/filming of the exhibit is encouraged.
