Complete this entry form to participate in the 14th Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program® for the Osceola County School District and Osceola Arts employees and their family members.  There is no fee to enter the program.

Eligibility

  • Participants must be an active or retired employee, volunteer or an immediate family member of an active, retired employee or volunteer of Osceola County School District or Osceola Arts or a current student at Osceola Arts.
  • Only 2 entries per artist will be admitted.
  • All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant completed within the last three years.
  • Not accepted: kits; paint-by number pieces; photocopies or photographs of artwork; magazine or book illustrations, random snapshots.
  • The National Arts Program® and and the Osceola Arts reserve the right to disqualify entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit.

Adult
  • Amateur – a person with little or no experience
  • Intermediate – a person with some experience, beginning art students, etc

Artwork will be judged in the classification of the artist’s selection; however, in some cases, the exhibition judges will make the final determination.

Preparing Entries
  • Entrants may submit only two entries which fit into the listed medium categories.
  • All artwork will need an NAP identification label placed on the back (provided at drop off).
  • All 2-dimensional entries should be matted, framed and/or ready to hang with wire securely on the back.
  • All work must measure no more than 48” in any direction or weigh more than 50lbs unless otherwise stipulated.
  • Artwork that does not meet size limitations or specifications will be disqualified before judging.

Rules of Exhibit

  • Deadline This Registration Form must be received no later than December 12, 2018.
  • Delivering Entries All entries must be delivered to Osceola Arts located at 2411 E. Iro Bronson Highway during the following times:
                            December 11 - 14 between 10am - 5pm
                            December 15 between 11am - 3pm
  • Reception & Awards A reception and presentation of awards will be held at Osceola Arts on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 2pm - 4pm.
    • Prizes will be awarded by classification:
      • Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional): 3 - First Place Awards of $350; 3 - Second Place Awards of $250; and 3 - Third Place Awards of $150
      • Youth / Teen : 2 - First Place Awards of $150; 2- Second Place Awards of $100; and 2 - Third Place Awards of $50
      • A Best of Show Award of $400
      • An Art Education Award of $200
    • Honorable Mention Ribbons will be awarded at the discretion of the judges..
    • Awards are limited to one cash award per artist per classification. 

    • Each artist receives a Certificate of Participation in The National Arts Program®.

  • Public Exhibit The exhibit is free and open to the public from January 8 - February 8, 2019.  The gallery is closed on Sunday and Monday. 
  • Retrieving Entries Each artist is responsible for retrieving his/her artwork from Osceola Arts on  either February 9 between 11am - 3pm or February 12 - 14 between  10am - 5pm.  No work is to be removed prior to the end of the exhibition. Neither Osceola Arts nor The National Arts Program® will be responsible for unclaimed works.
  • Liability Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither The National Arts Program® nor Osceola Arts can be held responsible for damages, loss of art entries, or changes/cancellation of this exhibit due to low participation or unforeseen circumstances.  The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth.  The National Arts Program Foundation and Osceola Arts reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries.  The National Arts Program® in Osceola County, FL is a public exhibit and photographing/filming of the exhibit is encouraged.
