Osceola County NAP Continues to Encourage Creativity in the Community

Our Osceola County National Arts Program Showcase in Florida is a standout success. History has shown us that school districts can be a difficult population to reach through our annual program, yet Osceola continues to thrive! Each year Osceola Arts invites both active and retired School District employees, volunteers and their family members as well as the art center students to take part in the exhibition. There is always a wonderful level of participation from this community. This year for their 15th Annual Showcase they had 135 artists submit 234 pieces of art! There was an excellent representation from all five categories and artworks were hung throughout the galleries of Osceola Arts. Having their artworks displayed in a professional gallery setting offers artists of every skill level a chance to experience something truly special. This type of showcase brings so many members of the community together and allows them to share their talents and discuss their creative processes with one another. Many artists return year after year allowing patrons a chance to see these artists develop and grow their talents.

Visual Arts Director, Marilyn Cortes-Lovato coordinates this large showcase and along with Osceola Arts CEO Brandon Arrington, Osceola School District Fine Arts Specialist Pamela Haas and Osceola School District Chief Facilities Officer Marc Clinch attended the January 18th awards ceremony and reception and helped honor all the amazing participating artists.
