HAND, NC Continues to Grow

The Third Annual NAP Exhibition at Duke has continued to grow. This year’s exhibition featured 166 participants each displaying a piece of their own artwork including everything from crafts to works on paper. Olivia Woodford, Director of Health Arts Network at Duke, commented that, “for the third year partnering with the NAP, the employee art show has been a great success!” She especially mentioned how the online registration was a huge hit with participants and it made the drop off of artwork extremely smooth.

Three different galleries showcased the artwork submitted by the employees and family members of both Duke Medicine and Duke University. To celebrate, HAND hosted an opening reception, an awards luncheon featuring a slide show of all the artwork and a separate reception to honor the Youth & Teen participants. In addition to the slide show, Freeman Beard, an accomplished watercolor painter was invited to speak at the luncheon.
