Fifth Anniverary for Tulsa, OK

The City of Tulsa, Oklahoma celebrated their Fifth Annual National Arts Program® Exhibition this year. Once again, the NAP partnered with the WaterWorks Art Center to put on the show displaying artwork from employees and their family members. The artwork was hung at the Central Center located at Centennial Park. New Coordinator Vickie Henry commented that, “there was a nice variety of art from each age and classification.”

To honor their fifth year with the NAP, the City of Tulsa was presented with the National Arts Program® Fifth Anniversary Award at the reception on October 8th. In addition, the President of the WaterWorks Art Center Advisory Council emceed the awards ceremony.

Although their numbers were down a little from last year’s exhibition, Vickie has promised to work on increasing the actual number of City employees that enter the show for next year. The NAP is hopeful that with some fresh ideas from the new staff at WaterWorks, that participation will be back on track for their Sixth Annual Exhibition next Fall.
