Atlantic Health, NJ Expands Exhibition Space
This year’s Fourth Annual National Arts Program® Exhibition at Atlantic Health was another huge success.
With more than 240 artists participating (a tremendous jump from the 185 artists of 2009), more than 260 pieces of artwork were displayed at the two hospital branches; Morristown Memorial Hospital and Overlook Hospital.
Due to the large jump in participation this year, Coordinator Maria Lupo had to expand their hanging area at both sites to include the main lobby areas. This expansion allows for the artwork to be exhibited in high traffic areas of the hospital making it more available to the everyday visitor. Maria commented that “every year we are just getting better and better with more entries and staff engagement.”
With the successful NAP Annual Exhibition, Atlantic Health has established a Healing Arts Coalition to further develop more programs and exhibitions to marry healing and the arts.
We look forward to celebrating the fifth anniversary in 2011 and can’t wait to see what the future holds for Atlantic Health!
