Adventist Midwest Health Provides a Healing Environment

In an article entitled “Exhibit Shows Healing Arts More than Just Medical”, the author states that, “usually when people are urged to visit a hospital, the reasons are serious and often cause for concern, if not alarm.”   However, this was not the case at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital in Illinois during their First Annual NAP Exhibit.  The exhibit which featured more than 190 pieces of artwork provided inspiration and delight as well as healing to visitors to the hospital. Venue coordinator Sue Kett remarked that, “the feeling within the building has been enhanced because of the show.”

In fact, the show was so well received that the hospital decided to extend the length of the exhibition by an entire month. “Since this was our first show, so it was difficult to know what to expect,” said Sue, “but the outpouring of talent and support from all in our region was overwhelming.”

Hospital leadership is among those individuals that have embraced the exhibit.  In fact, both the CEO of Adventist Midwest Health, Dave Crane and the CEO of Adventist Hospital, Mike Goebel attended the awards reception held on November 5, 2012 to honor all the participants.
