Complete this entry form to participate in the 15th Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program for Residents of the Greater Castle Rock, CO area. There is no fee to enter the program.


  • Participants must be a current resident within a 60 mile radius of Castle Rock, CO.
  • Only 1 entry per artist will be admitted.
  • All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant completed within the last three years.
  • The National Arts Program and the Parker Artist Guild reserve the right to disqualify entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit.

  • Amateur – a person with little or no experience
  • Intermediate – a person with some experience, begining art students, etc
  • Professional – a person with serious art training or employed in an art-related job

Artwork will be judged in the classification of the artist’s selection; however, in some cases, the exhibition judges will make the final determination.
Preparing Entries
  • Entrants may submit only one entry which fit into the listed medium categories.
  • All artwork will need an NAP identification label placed on the back (provided at drop off).
  • All 2-dimensional entries should be matted, framed and/or ready to hang with wire securely on the back.
  • Only 3-dimensional entries that are “ready to hang” and weigh under 25 pounds will be accepted.
  • All work work must measure no more than 32” in any direction from the outside of the frame or weigh more than 25 pounds unless otherwise stipulated.
  • Artwork that does not meet size limitations or specifications will be disqualified before hanging.

Rules of Exhibit

  • Deadline This Registration Form must be received no later than July 1, 2022. Space is limited. Only the first 105 entries will be accepted.
  • Delivering Entries All entries must be delivered to the Philip S. Miller Library located at 100 South Wilcox Street, Castle Rock, CO 80104 on Saturday, July 9, 2022 between 10:30am - 3:30pm.
  • Reception & Awards A reception and presentation of awards will be held at the Philip S. Miller Library on Saturday, September 24 from 11:00am - 2:00pm. 
    • Prizes will be awarded by classification:
      • Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional): 3 - First Place Awards of $350; 3 - Second Place Awards of $250; and 3 - Third Place Awards of $150
      • Youth / Teen : 2 - First Place Awards of $150; 2- Second Place Awards of $100; and  2 - Third Place Awards of $50
      • A Best of Show Award of $400
      • An Art Education Award of $200
    • Honorable Mention Ribbons will be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
    • Awards are limited to one cash award per artist per classification.
  • Public Exhibit The exhibit is free and will be open to the public from July 11 - September 24, 2022 during library hours. For updated hours please go to:
  • Retrieving Entries Each artist is responsible for retrieving his/her artwork from the Philip S. Miller Library on Saturday, September 24th from 2:00pm - 3:30pm or Monday, September 26th between 4:00pm - 7:00pm. No work is to be removed prior to the end of the exhibition. Neither the Parker Artists Guild, the Philip S. Miller Library, nor the National Arts Program will be responsible for unclaimed works.
  • Liability Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither the National Arts Program, the Parker Artists Guild, nor the Philip S. Miller Library can be held responsible for damages, loss of art entries, or changes/cancellation of this exhibit due to low participation or unforeseen circumstances.  The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth.  The National Arts Program, Parker Artists Guild, and the Philip S. Miller Library reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries.  The National Arts Program in Castle Rock, CO, is a public exhibit and photographing/filming of the exhibit is encouraged. The Philip S. Miller Library is a branch of Douglas County Libraries.
