Complete this entry form to participate in the 13th Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program for Residents of the Greater Castle Rock area. There is no fee to enter the program.


  • Participants must be a current resident within a 60 mile radius of Castle Rock, CO.
  • Only 1 entry per artist will be admitted.
  • All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant completed within the last three years.
  • The National Arts Program and the Parker Artist Guild  reserve the right to disqualify entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit.

  • Amateur – a person with little or no experience
  • Intermediate – a person with some experience, begining art students, etc
  • Professional – a person with serious art training or employed in an art-related job

Artwork will be judged in the classification of the artist’s selection; however, in some cases, the exhibition judges will make the final determination.
Preparing Entries
  • Entrants may submit only one entry which fit into the listed medium categories.
  • All artwork will need an NAP identification label placed on the back (provided at drop off).
  • All 2-dimensional entries should be matted, framed and/or ready to hang with wire securely on the back.
  • Only 3-dimensional entries that are “ready to hang” and weigh under 25 pounds will be accepted.
  • All work work must measure no more than 36” in any direction or weigh more than 25 pounds unless otherwise stipulated.
  • Artwork that does not meet size limitations or specifications will be disqualified before hanging.

Rules of Exhibit

  • Deadline This Registration Form must be received no later than September 27, 2020. Space is limited. Only the first 105 entries will be accepted.
  • Delivering Entries All entries must be delivered to the Philip S. Miller Library located at 100 South Wilcox Street, Castle Rock on October 10, 2020 between 10am - 4pm.
  • Reception & Awards If possible, a reception and presentation of awards will be held at the Philip S. Miller Library on Sunday, December 6 from 1pm - 3pm. 
    • Prizes will be awarded by classification:
      • Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional): 3 - First Place Awards of $350; 3 - Second Place Awards of $250; and 3 - Third Place Awards of $150
      • Youth / Teen : 2 - First Place Awards of $150; 2- Second Place Awards of $100; and  2 - Third Place Awards of $50
      • A Best of Show Award of $400
      • An Art Education Award of $200
    • Honorable Mention Ribbons will be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
    • Awards are limited to one cash award per artist per classification.
  • Public Exhibit The exhibit is free and will be open to the public from October 12 - December 6, 2020 during library hours. For updated hours please go to:
  • Retrieving Entries Each artist is responsible for retrieving his/her artwork from the Philip S. Miller Library on December 6 from 3pm - 4:30pm or December 7 between 4:30pm - 7:30pm. No work is to be removed prior to the end of the exhibition. Neither the Parker Artists Guild, the Castle Rock Artist Cooperative, the Philip S. Miller Library, nor the National Arts Program will be responsible for unclaimed works.
  • Liability Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither the National Arts Program, the Parker Artists Guild, the Castle Rock Artist Cooperative, nor the Philip S. Miller Library can be held responsible for damages, loss of art entries, or changes/cancellation of this exhibit due to low participation or unforeseen circumstances.  The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth.  The National Arts Program, Parker Artists Guild, Castle Rock Artist Cooperative, and the Philip S. Miller Library reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries.  The National Arts Program in Castle Rock, CO, is a public exhibit and photographing/filming of the exhibit is encouraged.
