Best of the Best Teen Art Contest Winner!
The National Arts Program is excited to announce our Best of the Best Teen Art Contest Winner! There were 31 artworks chosen from an original group of 230 participating artists. When voting closed yesterday, Doryan Boone became our first ever “Best of the Best Teen” Award Winner after receiving 344 votes for her beautiful pencil drawing entitled 'Amber'!
Doryan’s thoughtful drawing was shared eight times garnering her some much deserved attention for her talents! Doryan is from the Charleston area of South Carolina and just wrapped up 10th grade. With her sixteenth birthday only a couple weeks away she is showing such impressive artistic ability. Doryan told us that she takes art classes at her school and focuses on self-teaching and practice at home. When we asked her to share a bit more about herself Doryan said, "I enjoy art (of course) and hanging out with my friends. I love to spend time with my dogs too (one of the artworks included is of one of them) and I like to read and just kind of crafty things in general."
Included in our announcement post are images of Doryan's winning artwork in progress as well as several other fantastic examples of her talents! To see the original winner announcement and artwork images on our Facebook page, click here.
We want to thank everyone that voted for Doryan and all the talented teen artists in this contest! There was so much excitement and interest in the amazing artworks showcased by these young artists. We hope you will all continue to create art and share your talents!
Congratulations Doryan Boone!!!
