Complete this entry form to participate in the 12th Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program® for Union County, NJ employees and their family members. There is no fee to enter the program.

Eligibility

Participants must be a Union County or Union County College employee, Union County Retiree or an immediate family member of an employee or retiree.
All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant completed within the last three years.
Not accepted: kits; paint-by number pieces; photocopies or photographs of artwork; magazine or book illustrations, random snapshots.
The National Arts Program® and Union County reserve the right to disqualify entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit.

Artwork will be judged in the classification of the artist’s selection; however, in some cases, the exhibition judges will make the final determination.

Preparing Entries

Submit only entries which fit into the listed medium categories.
All artwork will need an NAP identification label placed on the back (provided at drop off).
All 2-dimensional entries must be framed, securely wired and ready to hang. No taped, saw-tooth or cardboard hangers.
Sculpture or 3D craft may not exceed 18” in any direction including base.
All framed work must measure no less than 10” and no more than 36” in any direction
Artwork that does not meet size limitations or specifications will be disqualified before judging.

Rules of Exhibit

Deadline This Registration Form must be received no later than April 18, 2013.
Delivering Entries All entries must be delivered to: Elizabethtown Gas Company/Liberty Hall Center located at 1085 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ 07083 on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Reception & Awards A reception and presentation of awards Elizabethtown Gas Company/Liberty Hall Center on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm.
- Prizes will be awarded by classification:
  - Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional): 3 - First Place Awards of $300; 3 - Second Place Awards of $200; and 3 - Third Place Awards of $100
  - Youth / Teen : 2 - First Place Awards of $75; 2- Second Place Awards of $50; and 2 - Third Place Awards of $25
  - An Adult Best of Show Award of $375 and a Youth/Teen Best of Show of $100 will be presented.
- Additional awards including Honorable Mentions and Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
Public Exhibit The exhibit will be open to the public from May 8 - 28, 2013 during the following hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm. The exhibit is free to the public.
Retrieving Entries Artists are responsible for retrieving their artwork Wednesday, May 29, 2013 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Neither the Elizabethtown Gas Company, Union County nor The National Arts Program® will be responsible for unclaimed works.
Liability Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither The National Arts Program® nor Union County can be held responsible for damages, loss of art entries, or the cancellation of this exhibit due to unforeseen circumstances. The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth. The National Arts Program Foundation, Elizabethtown Gas Company and Union County reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries. The National Arts Program® at Union County is a public exhibit and photographing/filming the exhibit is encouraged.
