A truly multi-talented artist, Sanders "Skip" Bryant aka PIKS has been exposed to photography and art his entire life, leading him to a rare and distinct career as a professional Artist, Designer, Photographer and TV Producer working in many mediums from oil on canvas, pencil and marker illustrations, interior designs to computer graphics, photography and video to airbrushing and make up. With a father who is a photographer and a/v specialist and mother a model and artist, Sanders was always allowed and encouraged to be as creative and productive as possible. Growing up in Detroit influenced an urban style that Sanders' work reflects. PIKS, a coined nickname from years as an airbrush artist with a reputation nationwide for being an exceptional talent creating designs for Coca-Cola, Comcast, Michael Jackson, Billionaire Don Barden, Jerome Bettis, and many pro athletes, entertainers and entrepreneurs. Although never receiving any formal art training, he was accepted at age 25 to Detroit's Center for Creative Studies Industrial Design program...one of the most challenging and prestigious design schools in the world. With a vast list of clients and artistic projects, Sanders' accomplishments include over 15 years designing national touring stage designs, scenic art, logos and graphic packages for well known shows from playwrights Tyler Perry, Morris Chestnut and David E. Talbert to art for tours by Sean "Diddy" Combs, Mary J. Blige, Jaime Foxx, Chris Brown and LL Cool J to name a few. Also a fashion designer with a hot line in Detroit called The Blu Collection, in 2003 Sanders fell in love doing photography and make up art which he pursued professionally. Sanders photography and make up art has been published in Hair Designer Magazine, Prestige Hair Magazines, several book covers and products, and featured in model portfolio's and online. Currently, Sanders works as a TV producer and director, working closely with the Office of Mayor Dave Bing as part of the City of Detroit's Media Service Department which airs programs locally on Comast Channel 10. |
