Millie Reddig
Adult Professional
I studied art at the University of Georgia and worked as a graphic artist in the print industry for a number of years. During that time I also enjoyed painting whimsical animal designs. I had several paintings published as greeting cards by Recycled Paper Products and a notecard published by Creative Papers by C.R. Gibson. Always animal lovers, my husband and I have had numerous cats, dogs and rabbits throughout our marriage. During recent years I have been saddened by so many stories of animal neglect and cruelty. In order to focus on the positive, I started doing colorful paintings of animals to express the joy they bring me. My paintings are inspired by our own pets, those of my friends and family, several that have been rescued by shelters and a feral cat colony I care for. I was privileged to participate in Boise's 1st Annual Exhibit as a part of the National Arts Program. My painting, "Lilly" was awarded 3rd place in the Adult Professional category. |
