Marcy Lenhardt

Compelled in 1998 to begin art studies and studio work, I just feel most myself with palette knife or brush in hand, and oil paint splattered clothing, as I seek to express energy. I completed 30 units (Fine Arts Certificate with Painting & Drawing Emphasis), with excellent instructors/artists at the Santa Rosa Junior College. Oil painting since 2000, I have been painting outdoors predominately the last year, with non-objective studio paintings evolving as well. I live in my home county of Sonoma, very close to coastal, wine country vistas, abandoned railroads and frenetic urban growth. I am forever fascinated with color relationships, their vibrations, sunlight and shadows. It will be lifelong obsession, one day at a time.
