Bio for Beejae Hawkins
Beejae Hawkins, a child of an artistic family, came to Texas to attend SMU’s School of the Arts. She received her BFA and teacher certification as an all-level art teacher in 1970. Beejae has been married to a native Texan, Jim, for 40+ years. They have two sons, both are in the military. Except for a few years in Cincinnati, they have lived in various Texas towns, Richardson, Abilene, Roby, and came to Frisco in 1998.
Beejae taught elementary art in Plano ISD and in Cincinnati for the past 20 years. She recently retired from the thrill of watching children discover the world of art, and the wonder of creation.
