The NAP Pays Tribute to Late Board Member Dr. Joseph Valloti
It is with deep sadness that The National Arts Program Foundation mourns the passing of long-time foundation board member and friend Joseph Valloti. Joe passed away on Saturday, August 12th, 2017 at the age of 93.
Together with his late wife Helen, Joe had a true appreciation for the arts. Dr. Joseph Valloti was also a collector of art and a friend to artists. He was especially close with the late artist Andrew Wyeth with whom he was not only a friend but was his personal physician as well. Joe joined the foundation and supported our mission and served on our board. He was a physician with Crozer-Chester Medical Center and brought The National Arts Program® Exhibit to the employees and families of this wonderful community. The show continued to thrive there for many years and had tremendous success in bringing forth the hidden artistic talents of the medical community.
Commenting on Dr. Valloti’s passing, the foundation’s President and Chairman of the Board, Kathleen Jamieson stated, "Joe has been an invaluable member of our Board of Trustees since his appointment and we will be forever grateful for his wise counsel and dedication. He will be greatly missed as he was not only a colleague but a very dear friend. We extend our deepest condolences to Joe’s family."
The foundation staff will miss his gentle nature, wonderful spirit and thoughtful guidance but his legacy will live on in our continued support of artists everywhere.
