Instagram Pumpkin Carving Contest

Get into the spirit of fall and unleash your creative talents by participating in our first Instagram Pumpkin Carving Contest!

It’s easy to participate! To enter, just post a photograph of your own carved pumpkin between October 1 – 31 and tag it with #nappumpkin2016.  Participants can enter more than once, but each entry must feature a different carving.

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

Best use of pumping - $50

Most Creative - $50

Scariest - $50

The NAP exhibition helps travelers traverse the airport with more than 150 pieces of art.

Using Art to Navigate Orlando Airport

Orlando International Airport views art as an integral part of their airport design using their installations not only to bridge the architecture, but as a wayfinding element for passengers traversing the airport. By utilizing artwork to help travelers visually define their current location within the airport, they are able to determine how to get to their destination.

Manchester Puts “Art on the Wall” at City Hall

This year Manchester coordinator Vicki Ferraro was challenged with planning around the renovations taking place in city hall. These were the first significant improvements made to the interior of the 171 year-old building since the complete City Hall restoration in 1998. City hall is not only the site of their National Arts Program® Exhibit but the award reception also takes place in the Aldermanic Chambers on the third floor. Since Vicki has so much experience coordinating this successful event each year, she handled it seamlessly. Although space was limited, there were a total of 117 pieces created by participants from various city departments, Manchester School District, retirees and volunteers that were displayed throughout the building.

It was upon attending the 2011 Society for Arts in Healthcare conference that Tawana Brown first learned about the National Arts Program®.  As a member of the UF Health Wellness Program, whose mission is to “create a positive culture of health and wellness for UF Health Jacksonville employees that encourages a work-life balance and promotes an optimal environment for patient healing and satisfaction,” she immediately recognized how the NAP would fit in perfectly.
