Record Participation for the University of Arizona

Claudia Arias is the coordinator for the Annual ‘On Our Own Time Art Exhibit’ at the University of Arizona. This was their seventh annual show since partnering with the National Arts Program® and their exhibits just seem to get better and better with every passing year. Claudia has a tremendous work load, but makes time to handle all the responsibilities of this amazing exhibit. We are so thankful for Claudia’s hard work and for the assistance of the University of Arizona Student Media Department that partnered with her this year in order to assist in handling the promotional responsibilities of the exhibit.

Artwork Transforms the Busy Corridors of Lurie Children's

Art may not be the first thing you think of when you picture the staff corridors of a busy children’s hospital.  If you’re like most people, you automatically imagine the bustling of employees and the hecticness that is associated with the daily operations of a large medical institution.  However, over the last three years, NAP Coordinator Lisa Mulvaney has been changing this perception at the Ann and Robert H. Celebrating #nationalartsmay

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting our first photo a day challenge on Instagram and want to thank everyone who participated.  We loved seeing how the daily prompts helped inspire your creativeness and were so happy that so many people decided to share their artist talents with us in honor of National Photo Month!

This challenge provided the opportunity for everyone to see value in their own artistic talents. Many of you even reached out to tell us how much you enjoyed the challenge and looked forward to each day’s theme.  One participant sent us a message stating, “Your challenge has really inspired me. I was going through the equivalent of ‘writer’s block’ and it was just what I needed!”  What an amazing compliment! It’s truly an honor to help someone be able to express themselves through art.
