"It was wonderful to see the range of skill and the variety of media in the NAP show. Art making is not an endeavor for the faint of heart. We can witness here in this gallery, that the drive to create starts early in one’s life. These artists, these creative beings likely feel driven to create their artworks; as well as to learn and to experience more ways to express the voice of their inner selves visually. Although not all artists arrive at their commitment to what might be referred to as a calling to being an artist at the tender age of youth, many of us have never the less arrived at the realization that no matter what we do day to day, we must also create! It makes us human, and through our work we aim to communicate, connect, inspire, inform, and engage our viewer to share our perspective, our perception, our passio, to see what we as artists’ see beyond the visible."
