NAP Exhibit Continues to Bring Community Together in Cleveland

“Fall Wonder”; Daryl; Adult Special Pop, Honorable Mention; Sculpture; Resident

Now in their eighteenth year with the National Arts Program®, Coordinator Rosa Casino and the Cudell Fine Arts Staff still prove that this annual exhibition helps to bring community residents together by providing a professional art experience for everyone.  With the exhibition once again being displayed at the Arts Collinswood Gallery, which is located right in Cleveland’s Historic Waterloo Arts District, participants and visitors alike are able to see the art of their fellow community members in a new light thanks in part to the expert job Rosa and her staff do of installing the work.  Something that is no easy task when you have 245 artists each displaying a piece of art; however, all you can see is the professionalism with which the exhibition is displayed.

A new addition to this year’s exhibition was the inclusion of a group of adult students with special needs who take part in art classes that are run by the Cudell Fine Arts Staff once a week at their recreation facilities.  The students who were current residents of the City of Cleveland were eligible to participate and were even given their very own category – “Adult Special Pop”– and awards with the first place winner receiving an art basket personally put together by Rosa and her staff.

Along with this new category, those participants who received Honorable Mentions from the judges were given a little something extra too.  The thirteen youth and teen Honorable Mention winners all received a certificate for a free art class at the Cleveland Museum of Art while the nine adult winners were provided with a gift certificate to Pat Catan’s to purchase art supplies.  These wonderful additions help to nurture the artistic talents of these participants and are just another great example of how Rosa and her staff at the Cudell Fine Arts are helping to foster the arts within their community.
