The Osceola Center for the Arts is now ‘Osceola Arts’  and this year they celebrated their Tenth Anniversary with the National Arts Program®. This was a big year for Osceola, not only did they revamp their name, but they brought on Marilyn Cortes-Lovato as their new Visual Arts Director. With the help of other team members, Marilyn took on the responsibility of coordinating the NAP show and she did a phenomenal job. Participation jumped by over forty percent from last year and over 170 pieces were displayed in the exhibition which was open from October 6th - November 2nd.

Marilyn commented that, “the event overall was very successful” and “there was an extra effort made by the Osceola School District to get the word out to its employees”. The efforts made by both Marilyn and the school district proved to make all the difference and their anniversary show was a huge success. The artwork filled the entire building and participants and visitors to the October 8th reception even stayed way past closing!
